Marcy from Marketing is physically present, juggling two sets of notes – one for herself and one for the unicorn-avatar of her manager who’s attending from a home office two states away. Beside Marcy, an empty swivel chair represents Dave from Finance, who decided to show up as a holographic pirate today (complete with parrot).
Dave’s avatar currently stands on the virtual table, peg-leg and all, because he hasn’t figured out the “sit” setting. Nobody minds; last week he was a hovering 8-bit ghost and that was more distracting.
